HKS handles most of Keilhauer's public-facing websites and web applications. Highlighted here are some of the many projects we have completed for Keilhauer.
The Keilhauer website is primarily a product catalogue built on multiple databases. This catalogue structure is broken into different product types: task chairs, side chairs, lounge pieces, stacking chairs, benches, and tables. The textiles applicable to all products are also shown though no designers would actually spec products from a screen graphic because of colour instability across different monitors.
There is also a product wizard to help users find products, a garage sale for pre-built products, corporate information, and featured new products.
The corporate information section has all the "static" information on the site (though it is served from a database) including photo galleries and environmental information.
A guest book gives visitors a place to leave their comments.We eliminate all spam by ignoring comments with links.
The Keilhauer Leather website is built using AJAX technologies and allows the user to select different colour and product grades and view the swatches side by side on both a white and black background.
The Keilhauer CRM Portal is an area where the sales reps from all regions around the world can report back on upcoming projects, review past performance, and see alerts from Keihauer corporate staff.
This tool is based on the CRM component of the Infor SyteLine ERP system, however it has been substantially rewritten by HKS and Keilhauer IT staff.
HKS handled the front-end work of gathering requirements and project specification, production work of programming and project management, and roll-out work of getting the Reps in the field up to speed.
In short, HKS was involved with Keilhauer staff through every phase of the project.
Projects on the system are tied into information that comes from the SyteLine ERP system.
During roll-out extensive data cleansing and system rework was needed to ensure the previously internal-only data was usable by the field Reps.
HKS made extensive modifications to the CRM screens using both the Infor screen editing tool and, in some cases, creating entire screens from scratch. These screens were integrated so that they appear seamless to the end user.
One of the screens that was added to provide enhanced value to the Reps, and ensure they use the system, is the product estimator.
This tool is based on the Online Order System created by HKS as part of the outward-facing website and the reuse of this code allowed the estimator to be deployed more quickly than could otherwise be achieved.
