Execution
The plan has to be well executed to fulfill the promise of an Internet solution. In fact, project management is even more critical on small to medium projects than on larger ones where it traditionally gets more resources. On a small project the client is often supplying a significant amount of the verification and testing effort and this means that the development team must be integrated across the different companies (the client and HKS). We can help you ensure that all parties know what they are expected to do and when they are expected to do it. Tight integration between the HKS development staff and the client verification staff means that information is not held up at bottlenecks and that work proceeds as quickly as possible.
The Right Balance
For every project we generate the correct amount of definitions, specifications, and plans. We don't develop blindly (with insufficient information) and we don't over plan (with hundreds or thousands of pages of documentation). We chart a middle course that ensures everyone is on the same page and knows what to expect.
